THE SHC's STEEL PLATE SHOOT

We kick it off at 10am sharp on designated Saturdays with a safety briefing. Arrive in time to sign in and get situated.

2025 SCHEDULE:

 3rd Saturday of the month

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

What is The SHC' Steel Plate Shoot?

It's fun and a skill builder.

Shooters get 4 consecutive runs through each course of fire where they'll attempt to shoot 5 steel plates.

There's a minimum 5 hits (one per target) if shot cleanly with a maximum number of 10 shots per stage.   Your worst time at each stage is dropped from your score.

The last target to be shot is known as the "stop plate", which stops the timer.

What to bring:

Cost is $8

What gun should I bring?

Options include -

.22 caliber handgun

.22 caliber rifle

Center fire pistol caliber carbine rifle

Center fire handgun

Optics are permitted

Eye and ear protection

Min. of two magazines if using a semi auto

Speed loaders are helpful if using a revolver

As little or as much ammo as you want

We have a heated building for stowing our gear as well for warmth and shelter between scenarios, so the ''hardship'' will be kept to a minimum as weather dictates.

If the weather conditions are dangerous the day of a shoot, please stay home.
